How to Make

 

Ingredients

2 eggs

⅓ cup fat-free milk

½ teaspoon vanilla (optional)

⅛ teaspoon salt (optional)

1 tablespoon canola oil

4 slices whole-wheat bread

Tip: Top with fresh fruit such as sliced strawberries.

Preparation

  1. Beat together eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt in a shallow bowl.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture.
  4. Place bread in pan and cook until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer to serving plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon, if desired.
